PURPOSE: To obtain the method for setting a filter to realize sufficient sound image localization even when the scale of the hardware of the sound image localization device can not be made large enough. CONSTITUTION: When data of 22taps of data strings FL(n) and FR(n) having a sufficiently longer tap length are set to, e.g. SFL3L and SFR3R, at first data of 1tap to 14taps corresponding to one wavelength of a sin curve are segmented from the data string FR(n). Then '0' is substituted to 15taps to 22taps. Then data of 1tap to 20taps corresponding to one wavelength of a sin curve are segmented from the data string FL(n). Then '0' is substituted to 21, 22taps. Thus, even when a large hardware scale of the sound image localizing device is not sufficient, the excellent sound image localization is realized by providing the filter generating method. |
