PURPOSE: To prevent substantial deviation from the true reference frequency of a base station by adjusting the reference frequency of the base station based on the reference frequencies of plural mobile stations. CONSTITUTION: Radio waves emitted by the plural mobile stations 1 present within the area of the present base station 2 are received, the difference of the respective reference frequencies of the stations 1 and 2 is obtained and the adjustment operation of the reference frequency of the station 2 2 is repeated every time the radio waves of the stations 1 are received so as to reduce a frequency difference by 1/N of the difference. Thus, the reference frequency of the station 2 is brought closer to the average value of the reference frequencies of the plural stations 1 stepwise. In this case, a central control part 9 receives the radio waves of the plural stations 1 present within the area of the station 2, computes the difference of the reference frequencies of the stations 1 and 2 based on information obtained from an IF frequency counter 7 and performs correction stepwise in a frequency computing part 10 so as to reduce the difference.
