Morse symbol determining method

The method uses a sampled digital input signal, corresponding to a signal Morse element amplitude-modulated signal to form a sequence of length elements (LE) with a "confidence" value designating its amplitude value. This sequence is stored in a buffer memory and checked for accuracy, and the error-free signs transmitted to a deposit memory. By comparison with a sign table and using a MAUDE algorithm a sign is determined corresponding to the sequence and output. A standard deviation is formed for the confidence values.
