PURPOSE: To sufficiently feed slurry containing abrasive grains between a wire and a workpiece without causing any reduction in machining precision so as to improve cutting efficiency of the workpiece. CONSTITUTION: At least one auxiliary roller 7 is brought into contact with a wire 3 between groove rollers 1, 2 from the front side of the traveling direction of the wire 3. Multiple guide grooves 10 are formed on the outer circumference of the auxiliary roller 7, and traveling of the wire 3 is guided by means of the guide grooves 10. A recessed part, 11 is formed on the outer circumference of the auxiliary roller 7, and vertical motion is applied to the wire 3 by means of the recessed part. 11, so that slurry containing abrasive grains can be easily penetrate between the wire 3 and a workpiece 6. |
