<p>PURPOSE: To improve dV/dt resistance by a method wherein noise components which enter a secondary side are completely cancelled by the outputs of dummy photodiodes. CONSTITUTION: A photodiode and a dummy photodiode are respectively divided into a plurality of photodiodes 1 and a plurality of dummy photodiodes 2 and radially arranged alternately. A light emitting diode 7 is provided directly above those photodetectors in a photocoupler. Even if the position of the light emitting diode 7 is shifted, the distances between the light emitting diode 7 and the photodiodes 1 and the distances between the light emitting diode 7 and the dummy photodiodes 2 are kept equal. Therefore, the noise components induced in both the photodiodes are equivalent and both the noise components cancel each other almost completely.</p> |
