摘要 Appts. for producing three-dimensional objects by laser sintering, by which the object (5) is formed by successive irradiation hardening of layers of material in powder form, comprising: a height-adjustable carrier (3) for the object to be formed with an essentially level top side (4), an applicator unit (13,16) for applying layers of the material (14) on the carrier (3) or on a previously formed layer with a spreader (16) reciprocating parallel to the top side (4) of the carrier (3), and a beam source (8) for irradiation hardening of a layer of material. The spreader (16) has two vertical sides (20,21) and a bottom surface (22) parallel to the carrier top side (4) with sloping faces (16a,16b) between the sides (20,21) and the bottom (22), the slope angle on the one side ( alpha 1) being greater than that on the other side ( alpha 2). A production method using the appts. is also claimed.
