<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method for preventing scale in the deinking process of wastepaper capable of continuously preventing the formation and adhesion of the scale developed in the process by adding a specific component. CONSTITUTION: This method for preventing scale in the deinking process of wastepaper comprises adding a scale preventing agent consisting of citric acid and/or its salt to the white water of a pulp in the deinking process of the wastepaper (waste-newspaper, etc.) uniformly to prevent a scale consisting of silica, calcium and aluminum derived from e.g. the raw material of wastepaper pulp and breaching assistants from forming, continuously prevent the produced scale from adhesion to a thickner, a filter, wires and other pipings, and prevent disturbances such as the obstruction of the pulp flow, the declining of the heat efficiency and the deterioration of the quality of the recycled paper.</p> |
