PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of an electronic dictionary that has the same function as a book dictionary by fixing an IC card of an electronic pocketbook in the electronic dictionary to secure an internal structure exclusive for the electronic dictionary. CONSTITUTION: An IC card is fixed in an electronic dictionary and the main body system of this dictionary includes only a dictionary function. For this purpose, the special keys are prepared for the correction/application examples or the sentence examples, the word cards and the adopted words, or the writing structure numbers, the right-hand radicals or the radicals and the Japanese syllabary or the alphabet, the meaning, the phonetic reading, the synonyms, the antonyms, the research, the non-conversion, the repetition, the check, the Chinese compound words or the 4-Chinese compound words respectively. Thus the original function of a dictionary is secured. These special keys are preferably arrayed on a keyboard or can be included in the function keys only on a screen according to the number of keys. In addition, it is preferable to automatically store the words which are once consulted in the dictionary on both sides of word card by pushing the word keys in order to secure a learning function of words. |
