The water is first sieved (6), and flows to the collection chamber (1). Water rejected by the sieve, carrying the dirt rinsed off, enters the second collection chamber (2). The interconnection (5) between chambers, can be closed. When closed, the chambers (1,2) empty via the cistern- (3) and drain-(4) inlets. If the cistern inlet (3) is closed, and the interconnection (50) is open, the first chamber (1) is emptied into the second (2). A tube or hose connected to the interconnection in the second collection chamber (2), empties the first (1) into the drain inlet (4). If the drain connection (4) is closed, the tube or hose connects between the interconnection and the cistern inlet (3) for emptying.
