PURPOSE: To provide a switching apparatus for clocks whose operationability at the time of stopping the ringing of sound from a sound source is improved and made convenient. CONSTITUTION: A main body is so shaped as to be spherical in the upper side except the front face having a time displaying part 2 and a first sound source using a speaker 3 is built in the main body while being set to face a sounding hole 21 formed in the spherical upper part. A movable switch member 40 is shaped into a rotatable arch-like shape expanding from the upper part of the main body to the lower part along the spherical face and turns the sound source off at the upper part position where the sounding hole 21 is closed and turns the first sound source on in a spherical face rotating division to the lower part position.
