PURPOSE: To obtain a medicine, having suppressing actions on proliferation of various bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis or fungi of acne vulgaris or dandruff) and capable of preventing pharmaceutlcal preparations or products in various forms from being putrefied or contaminated. CONSTITUTION: This new antimicroblal agent, preservative or cosmetic contains either or two of artocarpin or/and sophoraflavanone G. Since the antimicrobial agent, preservative or cosmetic has effects on reduction in acne vulgaris and skin roughening and suppression of dandruff or pruritus, application thereof to the skin or a head cosmetic can be made. |
