The oscillator includes several sub-oscillators (R), each with N amplifying elements (A) operating as inverting amplifiers. Each has an externally controlled delay terminal as well as an input and output terminal. The sub-oscillators form a recursive network. Two output terminals are selected from the total M by N elements, such that selected elements come from different oscillators. Then the selected output terminals are connected with the input and output terminals of another element, avoiding connecting elements carrying signals of opposing phases.
