<p>An information processing apparatus with a write protection function to a target storage area, includes a holding section (5) as a write permission flag for holding a permission data, and a write control section (6, 8) for permitting an intended write operation to the target storage area when the holding section holds the permission data. The apparatus further includes a setting section (3,4) for setting the permission data in the holding section when a dummy write instruction is executed for a command address, and a resetting section (21, 22, 23) for resetting the permission data in the holding section when the intended write operation to the target storage area is executed. The resetting section may further include a section for resetting the permission data in the holding section when a predetermined number of instructions or bus cycles are executed after the dummy write instruction. <MATH></p> |
