PURPOSE: To obtain a radio guidance unit for allowing a visually handicapped person to walk freely and autonomously with no aid of an intimate person or a guide dog. CONSTITUTION: An electric designation signal is delivered from a sound signal generator 1 through a transmitter 2 to an antenna 4 for transmitting a walking guide radio wave, an antenna 5 for transmitting a border indication radio wave, and an antenna 6 for transmitting external obstacle indication radio wave and radiated therefrom into the air. The designation signal is received by a receiver 10 built in a walking guide stick 7 of a visually handicapped person 12 walking on a pavement and then delivered to a earphone 11 carried by the person. |
