PRODUCTION OF CAPSULATED TONER

摘要

PURPOSE: To improve the electrostatic chargeability of capsulated toner particles. CONSTITUTION: A mixed compsn. contg. a resin (A) self-dispersible in water, an org. solvent (C) and a colorant (D) as essential components is subjected to phase inversion and emulsification in an aq. medium or a mixed compsn. contg. a resin (B) convertible into a resin self-dispersible in water by neutralization, the org. solvent (C) and the colorant (D) as essential components is subjected to phase inversion and emulsification in an aq. medium contg. a neutralizing agent to form capsulated particles in the aq. medium. The particles are separated from the medium and dried to produce the objective capsulated toner. The phase inversion and emulsification are carried out at 0-25 deg.C.
