The invention concerns a device designed to ensure that medication in the form of discrete solid doses, e.g. pills, tablets or capsules, is taken at the correct time, the device having a casing (1) into which a blister pack (3) which represents a store holding the pills to be taken is inserted. The blister pack (3) rests on a plate (4) disposed in the casing and has, on the side facing the plate, electrical conductor tracks (8) which cross over the cavities (5) in the blister pack (3) containing the pills (6) in such a way that, when a pill is pressed out of the pack, the conductor track (8) concerned is broken. This break is detected by an electronic circuit (9) which is reset, each time a pill is pressed out, to start a new counting cycle designed to trigger a signal generator (24). The pills (6) pressed out of the blister pack fall through apertures (10) in the plate (4) which are located accurately opposite the cavities (5) in the blister pack (3). |
