On-board management computer for bus and tram

The management control system is based upon a microprocessor (2) and uses a non-volatile memory (3) that has ROM and DRAM stages together with a floppy disk drive (4). The floppy disk can store a large amount of data that, for example can represent the road plan for a town. The computer connects with a pair of keyboards for entry of data by the driver and a pair of displays (7,7a) indicate status data. A further display is provided by a VDU (8). Internally, the computer system comprises a bus (16,17) coupled to a ticket checking unit (10), distance meter (11), door sensors (12) and a voice input stage (13). The other communication bus (17) connects with other vehicle systems (1a,1b).
