The breaking tool (4) acts as a fulcrum for the shaft when it is pushed into the ground and made to pivot in order to force a growing weed upwards. It is movable along the shaft (1) and connected with the shaft hand grip end via a flexible component (5), which determines a lower end position for the breaking tool along the shaft. The breaking tool incorporates a plate (6) with a slot open towards a front edge. The slot on opposite sides is surrounded by side pieces (8,8') standing up from the plate. Between the side piece is a crossways pin (9), which serves as fixture for a lower end of the flexible component. The shaft is placed in a space between the side pieces and between the pin and a rear end of the slot. The shaft has a rectangular cross section of a width which is less than the distance between the insides of the side pieces so that the shaft can be guided by the side pieces. |
