A process for mfg., filling and sealing tubes (11) involves: a) forming a tube (11) from film continuously drawn from a storage roll and sealing laterally across the base; b) pulling off the tube (11) from the former (17), separating from the following tube below the lateral seal and gripping the seam; c) conveying the separated tube (11) to a filling pipe (18); d) filling the tube (11) through the open upper end; e) insertion of a cap (10) into the open tube (11) end; f) sealing the cap (10) onto the tube (11) edge. Claimed process plant comprises: i) a tube forming station (1) with a lateral sealing and cutting unit (2, 3); ii) a continuous conveyor (4) with tube (11) seam grippers; iii) a filling station (6) with vertically moveable filling tube (7) above the conveyer (4); iv) a tube sealing station (8) with appts. (9) for sealing the cap (10) onto the tube (11). The tube cap (10) is claimed and has a conical end (14) for insertion into the tube (11).
