PURPOSE:To obtain an information recording method in which an hologram image can be written in a multiplex hologram memory and read out therefrom in real time while compensating for the unevenness thereof. CONSTITUTION:A system for recording information in a hole burning memory(PHB) 31 using a spatial light modulator(SLM) 37 is shown on the drawing. As shown on the drawing, a first hologram carrying no information is recorded on the PHB 31 using a reference light of wavelength lambda0 with a field E1 being applied thereto. Similarly, a second hologram carrying information is recorded on the PHB 31 using a reference light of wavelenghth lambda0 with a field E2 being applied thereto. The recorded holograms are read out using a read-out light of wavelength lambda0 or lambda2 with a field E0=(E1+E2)/2 being applied to the PHB 31. A reproduction image is read out by superposing the first and second holograms. Since the first and second holograms carry background noise of same phase, the reproduction image is read out against brightest or darkest background. |
