PURPOSE:To increase the effect of language learning by previously registering speeches so that they are made to correspond to words and characters in a document, and reproducing the speech of only the part of selected characters. CONSTITUTION:When a user 1 makes a reproduction request 2, a character (illustration) decision part 3 decides the part (e.g. word to be reproduced, characters to be reproduced, an illustration to be reproduced, or an area to be reproduced) requested to be reproduced. A reproduction information acquisition part 4 refers to a speech data table on the basis of the decided part to acquire reproduction information. In this speech data table 5, the reproduction information (e.g. the name of a speech file containing speech data) is registered corresponding to the information decided by the character (illustration) decision part 3. Then a speech reproduction part 6 takes corresponding information out of the speech file 7 on the basis of the reproduction information and reproduces its speech. In the speech file 7, speeches of words and characters of a document are previously registered. |
