The arrangement consists of a lower cylindrical tube (4) which is closed at the top and which is mounted with a flange (5) via a support plate (6) on the ground (2). An upper cylindrical tube (9) fits closely over the lower tube. The upper tube can be filled with a hard setting medium (22) via an inlet (11) which is positioned at the lower end of the tube. The upper tube is extended until its top plate (16) lies against the part which is to be supported. Any surplus medium (22) can flow from the upper tube through grooves (18) which are cut in the support plate (16).
