PURPOSE:To grasp the abnormality of the cutting blades of saw teeth and to detect the time of automatic replacement of the required saw teeth without human judgement, by generating pulses by using the cutting blades of the saw teeth themselves, and detecting the abnormality of the cutting blades based on the magnitude or presence or absence of the pulses. CONSTITUTION:When circular saw teeth 1a are rotated around its main shaft and a cutting blade detecting pickup 4 detects the cutting blades of the circular saw teeth 1a, one pulse is outputted for every cutting blade. When the circular saw teeth 1a rotated around the main shaft once, a saw tooth rotation pickup 5 outputs one pulse for every rotation. The time between the pulse and the pulse indicates one rotary period. Preamplifiers 6 and 6 amplify the pulses outputted from the cutting blade detecting pickup 4 and the saw tooth rotation pickup 5. The amplified pulses are inputted to a counter 7. The counter 7 measures the number of the normal cutting blades of the circular saw teeth 1a for every one rotation period of the circular saw teeth 1a and judges whether the cutting blades of the circular saw teeth 1a are normal or not. When the number of the cutting blades of the circular saw teeth 1a is abnormal, an abnormal signal is sent to a control device 3. |
