The planetary transmission has a driving shaft and a driven shaft (23,25) connected by transmission elements (13,15,27,29). One of the transmission elements (15) is a cage wheel, in the inside of which at least one planetary wheel (13), runs, so that the effective circumference of one of the transmission elements is set by upstanding flat metal segments (41). The segments extend round the circumference. Their radial position can be adjusted. Each planetary wheel has a counter-wheel (35) on the outside of the cage wheel, which keeps the planetary wheel engaged with the cage wheel. One of the shafts is connected to a planet carrier on which the planetary wheel can turn.
