PURPOSE: To reduce neck injury accidents of a child by providing impact energy absorbing brackets, supporting the back support panel of a child seat with the brackets, or connecting the back support panel to a frame. CONSTITUTION: A seat back frame 19 is provided with a pair of lower mounting brackets 66, 68, and the brackets 66, 68 are fitted near the lower end sections of vertical pillars 56, 58. The lower mounting brackets 66, 68 are fitted to the frame 19 by lugs 70 with a seat support 24 kept rotatable. Two upper impact energy absorbing mounting brackets 80 fix a back support panel 72 to the vertical pillars 56, 58 of the frame 19 near the upper end of the back support panel 72. The relative velocity and deceleration between the head and shoulders of a child are reduced, and neck loads and neck injuries can be reduced. |
