PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device capable of accurate diagnosis of a subject by sensing the overall moving condition of the subject, and displaying the relative motion of the living body tissue excluding the overall movement. CONSTITUTION:The contour of a myocardial 12d is extracted frame by frame, and the center of gravity G of a blood flow area 16 specified by the contour is determined. The center-of-gravity velocity vector vg between frames is sensed. The center-of-gravity velocity component is subtracted from the motion velocity v of the myocardial tissue 12d relative to a probe 10, and thereby the velocity component is determined. The correction factor cos gamma for the velocity component is determined on the basis of the angle gamma formed by the ultrasonic beam axis (j) to the straight line tying the center of gravity G and each point on the myocardial tissue 12d, and the relative motion velocity of the myocardial tissue 12d with the center of gravity G is determined on the basis of the velocity component and correction factor cos gamma. |
