PURPOSE:To hold the lever ratio of the forward and backward adjustable operation pedal device, structured by coupling a pedal arm with a rotary member relatively rotatably, nearly constant through the simple structure consisting of a small number of components. CONSTITUTION:A brake pedal device 10 is equipped with the rotary member 18 arranged on a bracket 14 rotatably round an axis O1, the pedal arm 22 which is fitted to the rotary member 18 relatively rotatably round an axis O2, and a forward/backward adjusting means 32 which adjusts the pedal pad 24 forward and backward by positioning the member 18 and arm 22 at different coupling angles; and a rod 30 is engaged width a long hole 46 which is formed in the approaching and leaving direction to the axis O1 and crossing the intrusion direction of the rod 30 and an adjusting link member 50 is arranged on both the pedal arm 22 and rod 30. Then the engagement position of a clevis pin 48 is changed as the coupling angle is varied so that the lever ratio (L2a/L1a) is held nearly constant irrelevantly to the variation in the coupling angle. |
