PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin selector that can reliably prevent a fraud and enables high speed processing.SOLUTION: A coin selector includes: a coin passage extending along the downward axis line where an inputted coin rolls; a coin sorter for determining authenticity at least by a diameter of the coin in the process that the coin rolls the coin passage, and eliminating a false coin from the coin passage; a coin detection device for detecting the coin in the downstream of the coin passage to the coin sorter; and an impeller disposed at the upstream side of the coin passage to the coin detection device, rotatable around the rotation axis extending in the perpendicular direction to the axis line of the coin passage at the side of the coin passage, and having at least three blades retractable in the coin passage with rotation. The coin selector has a rotation stop device on the upper part of the impeller, the rotation stop device that is linked with the actuation of the coin sorter and stops the rotation of the impeller when the coin is not introduced. |
