PURPOSE:To shorten the operating time of correcting means by outputting an azimuth angle error from the calculating step at each repeated calculation of the means, and so adding a small correction value to an initial latitude as to gradually converge the error. CONSTITUTION:A speed position calculator 5 fetches the output signals of an accelerometer 11 and a gyro 12 fixed to a ship hull, and sequentially outputs position information and speed information with the input initial latitude and an initial latitude as references. A speed and position comparator 7 compares both the pieces of the information with position and speed information input from the outside, and outputs error information. An error designating unit 8 and a correction calculator 9 fetch the error information, and automatically correct calculating parameters by so repeatedly calculating as to minimize the generated error. Azimuth angle error is fetched from the calculating step at each repeated calculation, and a small correction value is so added to the initial latitude as to gradually converge the azimuth angle error. Thus, the time required for automatically correcting the parameters can be shortened. |
