A connection strip with an automatic stripping function for insulated electric wires. The strip consists of a movable member (3) with cylindrical holes each receiving one insulated wire. A rotary cam (4) actuated by a lever (6) integral therewith moves the movable member (3) towards or away from a base member (1) comprising slotted metal contact plates into which the insulated wires can be forcibly inserted in order to cut through the insulator and establish contact between each conductor and the corresponding metal plate by moving the movable member closer to the base member, all the wires being released simultaneously when the two members are pulled apart. Said strip is suitable for connecting high or low current wires of various gauges with a single rigid conductor or multiple flexible conductors, e.g. multiconductor cables for electronic equipment or computerised data communication.
