PURPOSE: To lower a discharge voltage by forming a discharge field intensifying body at least at a part of an element constituting a plasma display panel between main electrodes for generating discharge for display. CONSTITUTION: This plasma display panel has a pair of substrates for forming a discharge space and is provided with: plural display electrodes formed on one of the substrates and used for surface discharge between the adjacent electrodes; an insulation layer formed on it; plural address electrodes A intersecting with the display electrodes on the other substrate; and band-like barrier ribs 21 arranged between the address electrodes. In this case, discharge field control bodies 5 are formed under the insulation layer, and discharge field intensifying bodies 8 are formed in elongated discharge spaces communicating with one another in the address electrode direction between the adjacent barrier ribs. |
