<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure blood pressure even during pressurization by detecting a change in power detected by a powder detecting means composed of a speed detecting means and an acceleration detecting means, comparing this change with the threshold value, detecting a change in energy detected by a vascular wall kinetic energy detecting means and comparing this change with the threshold value. CONSTITUTION:This instrument is provided with cuffs and tubes 1, a pressurizing mechanism 3 and discharging mechanisms 2a, 2b for pressurizing and discharging these cuffs and tubes and pressure transducers 5a, 5b for detecting the cuff pressures. The instrument is provided with a microcontroller 7 for controlling these pressurizing and discharging mechanisms, a data processor section 8 for processing data by constituting the angular velocity, acceleration, power and energy detecting means, a memory section 9 which stores the data and a video display section 12 and transmission section 11 for the processed data. The change in the power detected by the vascular wall kinetic energy detecting means is detected and is compared with the threshold value.
