Nesting box for insects

The housing (4) interior (12) is walled off to give roof and floor (5,6,7,9) and has entry holes (15,16) in one wall (9) for insects to reach the interior. The two spaces formed inside are filled with a variety of nesting materials. The walls of the box are made of wood or concrete and are integrally joined apart from the roof of the box. The entry holes (14) in the side (7) of the box are louvred so as to open outwards and downwards. Holes (14,15) are pref. in slot shape and the box has its own frame to hold it at a distance from the ground, using grooved frame struts. The inside container consists of a rectangular frame round an opening walled off by a grating and suspended in the box housing so that several containers can be fitted alongside one another, using support strips to carry it on the shoulders (13) of the box.
