The cold air circulation equipment comprises an air outlet conduit (50) to carry cold air from the evaporator (30) to the refrigerator compartment (20), and an air inlet conduit (60) to carry air back to the evaporator after it has been circulated within the refrigerator. The evaporator is mounted adjacent to the freezer compartment (10). The two conduits are arranged to be parallel to each other and have a heat exchanger, containing a heat conducting plate, fitted between them. This conducts heat from the air inlet conduit to the air outlet conduit so that air called up from the evaporator by the refrigerator compartment is slightly heated, and air returning to the evaporator is cooled.
