The car has a drive motor with a number of batteries for supplying current to the motor, a connection for an external power supply for charging the batteries and a control unit for the drive motor and current supply. The batteries are individually associated each with at least one measurement sensor (A51-A54,U51-U54,T51-T54) of a measurement device for detecting at least the electrochemical state and/or an operating parameter, esp. differentiated according to the charge or the discharge cycle, characterising the battery. The sensor signal outputs are connected to inputs of an evaluation device (10a) which delivers a control signal to the control unit (10b) which influences the charge and discharge processes and/or temp. of the individual batteries.
