摘要 The invention relates to a method of manufacturing wire from a high alloy material in which thin-walled tubes of a ductile carbon steel filled with a powder of the high alloy material are placed in a can and powdered filler material is introduced between the tubes and the can, and then the can is sealed, heated and extruded to a bar comprising extruded wires in a matrix material. In order to release the extruded wire from the matrix in an easy way it is necessary that the transition temperature of the carbon steel of the tubes is substantially below the transition temperature of the carbon steel of the filler material which is at or above room temperature, and that the tubes in the can are placed at a distance from each other which must not be less than 2 times the maximum particle size of the filler material.
