PURPOSE:To enable a fluorescence type electrophoretic pattern reading device to efficiently read an electrophoretic pattern by mounting a detachable migrating section unit composed of a gel which becomes a base and supporting body on an electrophoretic unit and giving a sample labeled with fluorescence to the gel, and then, irradiating the gel with light from a reading unit and receiving generated fluorescence. CONSTITUTION:A migrating section unit 5 is composed of a gel which becomes the base of electrophoresis and gel supporting body which supports the gel and mounted on an electrophoretic unit 1 provided with first and second electrodes 2a and 2b and a sample labeled with a fluorescence pigment is given to the gel. Then the sample is caused to make electrophoresis by applying a migration voltage across the electrodes 2a and 2b from a power unit 4 for electrophoresis. After electrophoresis, the unit 5 subjected to migration is removed from the unit 1 and placed on a reading unit 6. In the unit 6, an electrophoretic pattern is read from the unit 5 by means of a measuring section main body 7 and data are processed by means of a data processor, and then, the processed data are outputted by means of an image printer 9, etc. |
