MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST HUMAN PEPSINOGEN

PURPOSE:To obtain the novel antibody specifically reacting with only one of human pepsinogens I and II in an immune reaction system, not reacting with the other, capable of specifically and accurately determining the human pepsinogen I or II, and useful for diagnosing various diseases, etc. CONSTITUTION:A novel monoclonal antibody not reacting with human pepsinogen II (hPGII) and specifically reacting human pepsinogen I (hPGI) in an immune reaction system, and a novel monoclonal antibody not reacting with the hPGI and specifically reacting with the hPGII, or a fragment containing their hypervariable parts on the structures. The monoclonal antibodies are obtained by administering the hPGI or II together with an adjuvant into a BALB/c mouse for immunizing the mouse, collecting the splenic cells of the mouse after the final immunization, fusing the collected splenic cells with myeloma cells, selectively culturing the fused cells in a HAT medium, screening the obtained hybridoma, cloning the screened hybridoma, and subsequently culturing the obtained clone. The antibodies can be used for the accurate determination of the hPGI, II.
