PURPOSE: To ensure good waterproofness and wet friction rigidity while enhancing color density and clearness of image by adding a mixture of polyester vinylalcohol, or the like, as a binder and a water soluble compound containing aldehyde groups to an ink receiving layer. CONSTITUTION: In the print sheet for ink jet printing method comprising lining layer and an ink receiving layer containing a hydrophilic binder and a pigment, the ink receiving layer is added with a mixture comprising polyvinyl alcohol, vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer and/or vinylpyrrolidone copolymer, as a binder, and a water soluble compound containing aldehyde groups. Melamine- formaldehyde condensation product and polyaldehyde are employed as the water soluble compound containing aldehyde groups wherein the quantitative ratio between the water soluble compound containing aldehyde groups and the hydrophilic binder is set in the range of 1:1-1:40, especially 1:1.5-1:27. |
