<p>A cap is provided for use in a filler neck. The cap (10) includes a closure (16) for closing the filler neck, a handle (14) for rotating the closure (16) relative to the filler neck, and a delayed action device (42, 44, 78, 80) for providing a lost motion driving connection between the handle (14) and closure (16). A torque override device (66) is provided for preventing damage to the filler neck sealing ring due to overtightening of the closure (16) during installation of cap (10) on the filler neck. An indicator (122) is provided for signalling that cap (10) has been advanced to a fully closed position.</p> |
