<p>PURPOSE:To provide an information input device which can input the key information and the pointing information by a manual operations. CONSTITUTION:An information input device can input the key information and the pointing information to a computer 1 by the operations carried out at hand. This input device is provided with a manipulation tool 5 containing a body 6 which can be held in its attitude controllable way, and a pair of light sources 7a and 7b which radiate the projection beams 8a and 8b to the tool 5 set at a prescribed reference position. The tool 5 contains plural keys 9 which are arrayed on the body 6, and these keys 9 are selectively operated by fingers. Thus the desired key information is inputted to the computer 1. A beam detector 10 is built into the body 6 to detect the incident directions of both beams 8a and 8b viewed from the side of the tool 5 and varying according to the attitude of the body 6. These detected incident directions of both beams are inputted to the computer 1 as the pointing information.</p> |
