<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electric field sensor that can take a large dyanamic range with single constitution. CONSTITUTION:Plural electric field sensor heads are formed on a substrate with electro-optical effect. Each electric field sensor head has a pair of phase shift light waveguides 53 connected to an incident light waveguide 52, supplied with incident light, so as to diverge this incident light, and an outgoing light waveguide 56 connected to the phase shift light waveguides 53 so as to converge these phase shift light waveguides 53. Plural electric field sensor heads are mutually different in the transmitted light intensity change rate. Electric field intensity is measured by detecting the intensity of transmitted light transmitted through such electric field sensor heads. The transmitted light intensity change rates are made mutually different by forming an electrode along at least one of a pair of phase shift light waveguides and making the length of each electrode mutually different between the electric field sensor heads, for instance.</p> |
