CHARGER

PURPOSE:To provide a charger operable with power being fed from AC commercial power supplies of different ratings. CONSTITUTION:Power fed from an AC power supply 20 to a charger 10 is rectified through a rectifier 14 and outputted to a DC/DC converter 15. Input capacity of the charger 10 is set by a user by selecting a desired switch among input capacity selection switches 11-13. A CPU 16 determines the maximum output value of the charger 10 based on an input capacity thus set and controls the output of the DC/DC converter such that a battery 30 is fed with power within the maximum output level.
