PURPOSE:To provide a negative electrode for lithium secondary battery minimized in the deterioration by repeat of charge and discharge, and having a high charge and discharge capacity and a high energy density, and a lithium secondary battery excellent in cycle life and having a high electromotive force, a high charge and discharge capacity, and a high energy density. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode for lithium secondary battery has a negative electrode active material formed by precipitating carbon in the grain boundary of metal lithium or its alloy. A lithium secondary battery has this electrode for lithium secondary battery, a positive electrode, and an electrolyte. |
