PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the reduction in image density and the mechanical abnormality caused by an abnormal. operation by resetting a toner end display state and toner resetting state, when the time from the opening of a door for replenishing and changing toner to the closing of the door after the completion of the work becomes a specified time or more. CONSTITUTION:For instance, in a method for opening a dedicated cover for replenishing toner 11 and replenishing the toner from a toner bottle 12, an actuator 14 for an opening/closing detecting door switch 13 is attached to the dedicated cover 11 and a toner absence display is reset by the taming off and on of the switch 13. In other words, in the resetting of the toner absence display, only when the time from the turning off of the door switch 13 to its turning on becomes a specified time or more, the toner absence display is reset. Thus, when the dedicated cover 11 is opened/closed, the toner end display is reset and the occurrence of erroneous actuation due to the abnormal operation such as a tamper operation in a conventional system capable of copying can be prevented. |
