PURPOSE: To prevent the spilling of ink or the drying of ink in a needle by constituting a seal device for sealing the orifices of ink needles of a humidity isolating part having an outlet end and a defection part selectively sealing and exposing the orifices of the needles. CONSTITUTION: In constitution such that the ink in a quantitative ink reservoir 40 is supplied to the printing head mounted on a reciprocally moving carriage through a piping system, an outlet port or orifice 48 is formed to the wall part 46 of the ink reservoir 40 and sealed by a humidor 50 being a sealing device. The humidor 50 is formed into a cylindrical shape and the neck part being the constricted part provided to the intermediate part thereof is fitted to the outlet port 48 in a liquiditight state. The humidor 50 has a needle receiving cavity formed to the inlet end surface thereof at predetermined depth and a hollow ink needle 75 to which one end of the piping system 42 is connected is inserted in this cavity and further pushed into the cavity to thrust through the closed end part of the humidor 50 to be opened. |
