The massage appts includes a backrest (5) and legrest (6) which are joined together by a seat (4) sloping upwards and forwards with a system of four vibratory forks (11-14) joining its corners to a single point (9) which is vibrated (3) from below. The frame (7) is covered with a thin sheet (8) of porous or perforated material and dimensioned to produce a large number of resonant eigenmodes in the 20 to 100 Hz band. The ends (19-22) of the backrest and frame are suspended by elastic strings (15-18) from a hook (23) cantilevered at the to of a stand (24).
