PURPOSE:To assemble gears, bushings, a synchronizing mechanism and the like which are to be fitted on a main shaft having a spline in its entirety, on the shaft within a short time. CONSTITUTION:Spline 4 is formed allover the entire length of a regular main shaft 2 in a transmission, and a temporary shaft 1 incorporating a spline 3 having the same phase as that of the main shaft 2 is previously fitted thereon with components 10 to be fitted on the regular main shaft 2. The regular main shaft 2 is aligned with the temporary shaft 1 while their splines are set in the same phase, and both shafts 2, 1 are coaxially set. Then the regular main shaft 2 is pushed so as to shift the components 10 onto the main shaft 2 from the temporary shaft 2 on which the components 10 are temporarily fitted. |
