PROCESS OF OR THE PREPARATION OF M-BORIC ACID FOR USING ESTERIFICALIRS CATALYST OF OXIDATION REACTION

摘要

Meta-boric acid is prepared by dehydrating ortho-boric acid. The dehydration reaction is carried out at 135-140 deg.C and 700-720 mmHg for 35-50 mins, while the slurry concentration of reactant boric acid being kept at 8-28wt%. Particle diameter of ortho-boric acid used for the reaction is 0.09-0.35 mm, and agitation speed for the reaction is 700-800 rpm. Obtained m-boric acid is used as esterifying agent for oxidation reaction and can produce secondary alcohol with high selectivity, preventing coagulation phenomenon.
