Method and device for continuously cleaning a surface on lamellas in a lamella separator exposed to depositions with a plurality of lamellas (1) parallel to each other, with an inclination to the horizontal plane between which water with suspended impurities therein is forced to flow. The surface (1) exposed to depositions is subjected to frictional influence from bendable elongate means, for example a cable, chain or wire (7), which under the influence of gravity is kept in contact with the lamella surface and during a continuous contact with the lamella surface (1) is brought to move periodically along the whole surface scraping the lamella surface (1). A rail (5) is arranged above the lamellas and is movable along the upper edges of the lamellas (1) and carries said cables, chains or wires (7) in contact with the lamella surfaces (1). At the same time as the rail (5) is moved along the upper edges of the lamellas, the rail (5) is given a periodical back and forthgoing movement up and down. |
